new year’s resolutions is an installation created in the context of Junction - مفترق exhibition, Nabi Musa (Jerusalem Desert). It features an intimate talk subtitled in Arabic (Palestinian dialect) and English, concerning common wisdom about life, family, love etc. The piece brings about questions of translation, orientalism and cultural hybridization, specifically giving an interesting insight on how Bedouin and western thinking can coexist.

the love it’s a beautiful thing
and painful thing in the same time
cause the love for me the big test
for the humanity to don’t give up
to show you your power
if you are giving up or not
there is no relationship without problems
all the relationships in the world
if some person tells you:
I never fight with my love
he’s a lie
why? because
when you love some person
there is a different way coming to your life
you need to accept
as this is person accept your way
it’s hard, it’s painful
and this is
relationship you become
your mind, your heart
more bigger, more open
